Southern Gentlemen’s Golf Classic Raises $5,000

The first annual KA Alpha Sigma Southern Gentlemen’s Golf Classic was held on Sunday, May 7 to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which funds research and care for kids and adults suffering from muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related diseases that weaken muscle strength and limit mobility.

Sixty golfers came out to support the cause, ultimately helping raise over $5,000 to support research and better care for patients. The winners of the tournament were father David Marshall and son Alex Marshall, as well as father Doug Tinkler and son Jack Tinkler.

We will be hosting this tournament each year to support our fundraising efforts for MDA and hope to involve more alumni next year. Stay tuned for details about next year’s event.
